All Ages and Skill Levels Welcome
Helloooo! I have been teaching music for 20 years: guitar, drums, piano, bass, and more. I teach many different genres, music theory, band etiquette, general knowledge of music on different levels: song writing, how to read music, music history, technique, knowledge of instruments, culture, recording, mixing, etc.
I teach at my studio in Spring Valley, lessons are also available at Moze guitar in downtown La Mesa, and I even go to students’ homes if that works best. I teach all ages and all levels. I like to put students in bands for recitals. I also teach classical guitar and classical piano, so if being in a band isn’t your goal I can still help you on your solo journey classically or as a singer/songwriter.

I taught David and his 4 siblings for years. He was creative and started writing his own piano songs in middle school, so I helped him arrange a few of his originals, added drums, and we recorded them years later when he was on winter break from college.
I taught Corbin for over a year. I was in a band with his dad, so we had Corbin play a couple songs with us at a gig and the crowd loved it. He did Don’t You Forget About me from Simple Minds and Forgot About Dre from DR Dre and Eminem.
